Cookie Policy

Last updated: January 2026

1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy (“Policy“) explains how Seido uses cookies and similar technologies to recognise you when you visit our website at https://seido-app.com and our mobile application (“Platform“). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them and your rights to control our use of them.

2. What are cookies?

2.1 Definition

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit our Platform. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, or to ensure the transmission of information.

2.2 Functions of cookies

Cookies have many functions, such as allowing you to navigate efficiently between pages, remembering your preferences and generally improving the user experience. Cookies can also help to ensure that the advertisements you see online are more relevant to you and your interests.

2.3 Types of cookies

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case Seido) are called “first-party cookies“. Cookies placed by parties other than the website owner are called “third-party cookies“.

Third-party cookies enable third-party applications or features on or through the Platform (for example, advertising, interactive content and analytics). The parties that place these third-party cookies can recognise your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.

3. How long do cookies last?

Cookies can remain on your computer or mobile device for varying periods of time:

  • Session cookies: exist only while your browser is open and are automatically deleted when you close your browser or leave the application
  • Persistent cookies: survive after your browser or application is closed and can be used to recognise your computer when you reopen it

4. Why do we use cookies?

Essential cookies

  • Authentication cookies: to keep your connection secure
  • Preference cookies: to remember your user settings
  • Security cookies: to protect against malicious attacks

On the website and in the application, these essential cookies are: cookieyes-consent (your consent choices), pll_language (the language you selected) and sb-<project>-auth-token (your signed-in session). They are required for the service to work and are never used for audience measurement.

To these is added __cf_bm, set by Cloudflare in front of the services we call (Supabase, PostHog, Stripe) to tell human visitors apart from bots. It is a third-party cookie, but a strictly necessary one: without it those services do not respond.

__cf_bm Cloudflare’s anti-bot products identify and mitigate automated traffic in order to protect your site against malicious bots. The __cf_bm cookie is necessary for the proper functioning of these solutions. < 1 day Third-party

5. Other tracking technologies

Cookies are not the only way to recognise or track visitors to a website. We may from time to time use other similar technologies, such as web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”).

These are small graphic files that contain a unique identifier enabling us to recognise when someone has visited our Platform or opened an email we have sent them. In many cases, these technologies rely on cookies to function properly. Consequently, refusing cookies will interfere with their operation.

We also use your browser’s local storage, which is subject to the same rules as cookies. The application keeps your consent choices there (seido-cookie-consent); our measurement tools PostHog and Microsoft Clarity keep their session identifiers there. You can clear it from your browser settings, in the same place as cookies.

6. Targeted advertising

Third parties may place cookies on your computer or mobile device to serve advertising through our Platform. These companies may use information about your visits to this Platform and other websites in order to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services that may interest you.

The information collected as part of this process does not allow us to identify your name, contact details or other personally identifiable information unless you choose to provide it.

7. How can I control cookies?

7.1 Consent management

You have the right to decide whether or not to accept cookies. You can exercise your preferences:

  • Via our cookie banner on your first visit
  • Via the « Consent Preferences » button, at the bottom left of every page of the website

  • Via your browser settings
